Students applying for admission to Bengali Honours will be required to score 55% in the aggregate and 55 in the subject. The cut-off for physics is 80% in the aggregate with chemistry and 80% marks in Physics and mathematics combined.

For admission to English Honours, the Presidency college will require 70% marks (80% for students from science stream) in the aggregate together with 65% in English or 60% marks in English A (for those who have first English as the first language under WBHSC).
